Here is Why January 15 Is A Great Day For James Bond Fans
James Bond fans should mark the date January 15, 2026 on their calendars. That’s the day 007 gets a new streaming home, with a handful of the venerable spy series’ iconic films arriving on Netflix (via Deadline) as part of a new deal between the streamer and their rival Amazon.

Die Another Day, No Time to Die, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall will all hit Netflix on January 15. Amazon-owned Rocky, Creed, and Legally Blonde will also be available on the service. The Bond films will be available in the U.S. and some international territories for three months.
“When Amazon acquired MGM, Amazon’s plan was to continue licensing MGM’s iconic library to streaming and television partners around the world,” Amazon MGM Studios Head of Worldwide Distribution Chris Ottinger said in a statement.

“Bringing these iconic films and shows to Netflix is part of that continued strategy,” he continued, saying that the new deal between his company and Netflix, “reflects the continued global appetite for premium storytelling and the strong working relationship we’ve built with Netflix.” Amazon Studios’ two-season show Hunters is on Netflix now as part of the deal.
The news that Amazon is licensing Bond to Netflix comes four years after the company first took over franchise distribution rights as part of their acquisition of MGM.

That left Amazon in a somewhat uneasy partnership with long-time Bond production company Eon and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, until Jeff Bezos’ behemoth paid $20 billion to take over full creative control, relegating Broccoli and Wilson to minor roles.
New Bond producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal wasted no time in lining up some major talent to handle the task of re-starting the series after Daniel Craig’s exit as Bond, tapping Daniel Craigto direct Bond 26, with Stephen Knight penning the script. Efforts to cast the role of 007 himself remain ongoing.

Netflix’s deal to stream James Bond comes as part of a major push by the streamer to expand their content library. Earlier this month, the company shook up the entire entertainment industry with their acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, taking over such massive franchises as Harry Potter, the DCU, and Lord of the Rings, among others.
Netflix says that combining WB’s massive catalog of movies and shows with their own library of originals will enable them to “give fans even more variety and value.”
That variety and value will also be available on the big screen, as Netflix says they are “fully committed to releasing Warner Bros. films in theaters, with a traditional window, so audiences everywhere can enjoy them on the big screen.”
